Established in September 2010, the Department of Applied Foreign Languages (DAFL) has three majors: Business English (including Luxury Marketing program), Tourism English (including International Liner Service) and Tourism Japanese.

DAFL has a highly-qualified staff of 42 members, of which one is a professor and five are associate professors, nineteen are lecturers and six are tutors. In addition, the department takes an active part in employing foreign teachers. Currently, it has four English teachers, two German teachers, one Korean teacher and one Japanese teacher.

DAFL is also committed to improving facilities and equipment. Apart from multimedia classrooms and language laboratories, it has started the project of creating speaking labs and training centers for business English and Japanese. Moreover, the school provides a variety of resources like audio-visual equipments, videos and language books.
